Eagle Scout Project

A young man from Salem, Joseph Chechile, came to the July meeting to speak about his Eagle Scout Project. Joseph is partnering with the Salem Historical Society to erect the missing monument from the Salem Town Green. The Green hosts a Korean War, Vietnam War, Revolutionary War, and World Wars I and II memorials, but none for the Civil War. Joseph is going to correct this as his project. The project goal is $4,650.00 and any donations will help for the construction materials, the granite installation, and the bronze memorial plaque.

Donations thru the Salem Historical Society are tax deductible. You can donate by check payable to "Salem Historical Society", memo of "Civil War Memorial", and mailed to the Salem Historical Society, 270 Hartford Road, Salem, CT 06420. You can also donate online by clicking on https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/salem-civil-war-memorial. Let's help a young man complete his Eagle Scout project, and help the Salem Town Green become whole! Thank you.
